Observations and Notes

July 20, 2018 Greg Miyake and Sarah Kim write:

The Cayuga #41 site was largely hidden beneath dead leaves and tree debris and after tracing out the block foundations and scanning the vicinity for any concrete chunks, we were unable to locate an arrow or any sign that there may have been one in the past. The beacon tower foundation and supports are all that remain now.

Described by Coast And Geodetic Survey 1935 (CAS)
This intersection station is the center of the revolving white light of airway beacon no. 41 on the Amarillo-St. Louis airway.  The light is mounted on a 50-foot square skeleton Steel tower.  The station was not visited for a complete description.
The beacon is about 8 miles s of Wyandotte, Oklahoma and about 13 miles NNW of South West City Missouri, near the Village of Turkey Ford.
The beacon was installed in 1935.
